Hi. I have a 2007 Pontiac Grand prix GT and have to reset steering angle sensor. I have looked hi and low.I have version Gm 6.01. Any one know how to do this using a MaxiSys 908. I did find information to do it on a Holden but not the vehicle in Question. Not like it's a new car but Wow. I'm guessing I will have to use a Tech 2Very dissappointed not being able to do this function. The reason I have to reset it is because the sensor was replaced. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Austin. I don't want to update as some other functions may have been removed and not sure if the newest version has that feature either.Maybe Support could answer this also

most  steering  angle  resets  and data pids  were removed  from the softwear  after  gm version 5.00

Thanks Austin present version is 6.01 and also need to know how to re install it if the older one doesn't have this feature

my mistake  i have gm version  5.10  on my 905  and  it does steering angle reset  on the 2007 grand prix.
i also have gm version  7.30  on my 905  this version   does not have  the steering angle reset  for 2007 grand prix

install your version  5.01  it should do it

Thanks for the info. Now can you tell me how to have both versions in my 908 and if not how to save the version I already have and then load the version 5.10 into my scanner. I have it version 5.1 saved on my pc but have never tried to get an older version reloaded. Anyone knowing how to do this would really appreciate it. My personal email is hefaus@hotmail.com. Regards Austin

RLAFFECT,  I might be wrong, but  I thought any older software versions of vehicle software that were out before the so called "System Optimization Update" will no longer work anymore for those who did the System Optimization, and you needed a current subscription to re-download all the later software versions (with the ongoing court mandated changes)

Yes I have that thought as well. Unless anyone can verify that then I am not going to try and reload an older version

Hi  that is the reason i wont update my machine. It seems like you loose more than you gain.
It now been 2 years since i updated ,i wonder how many people do the same ?.
Maybe if then did'nt remove functions on the machines people like me would be more than happy to keep  our
    machine up to date.
    Good luck in your problem.
